Newton is Co-Founder and Principal of Elm Grove Companies. He acts as Head of Investments and Finance for Elm Grove Companies. Newton's primary focus is on the measured growth of the company. Newton has led the evolution of Elm Grove Companies' investment model from one of organic growth using solely partner equity to one in which Elm Grove Investments syndicates real estate purchases using outside investor equity. Newton has navigated relationships with bankers, lawyers, CPAs, brokers, investors, government officials, non-profits and community partners to build a reputation for Elm Grove Companies as a trusted community developer with a track record of successful execution.

As a principal, Newton has negotiated the acquisition, deal structuring and finance of over 350 properties with a value in excess of $150,000,000.

Newton graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University with degrees in Economics and Finance and with honors from an overseas program of study in International Finance and Banking at Oxford University. He has completed the Harvard Business School Real Estate Executive Seminar and is a graduate of the Leadership Greater Manchester and Leadership New Hampshire Programs and was selected to the Union Leader's list of 40 under Forty.

Newton began his career in the investment banking industry in New York City at Lehman Brothers. He returned to his hometown of Manchester, New Hampshire in 2004 to begin his real estate investing career.

Newton volunteers as Vice Chairman of Amoskeag Industries, a Corporator of Sugar River Bank, a Board Member of the Mill Falls Montessori Charter School Foundation and a New Hampshire Clean Tech Council Advisory Board Member. Newton is past Chairman of the Board of the Manchester Development Corporation, past Chairman of the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart & Stroke Association, past Trustee of the Manchester Historic Association, past Board Member of the Manchester Young Professionals Network and past Finance Committee Member at The Moore Center Services, Inc.
